There are two ways to recruit participants using Useberry: by ordering participants from the Participant Pool or by recruiting from your own audience through easily generated Share links. Recruiting your own participants is a free service provided by Useberry, allowing researchers and organizations to engage individuals from their established networks, such as existing customers, employees, or specific target groups they want to reach.
With the updated version, you can create multiple Share links (target audiences) for each version to recruit participants. By leveraging your own audience, you can engage individuals who are already familiar with your organization or research objectives. This approach offers valuable insights and perspectives that closely align with your study goals.
The number of responses you can receive from your invited audience depends on the plan you’ve subscribed to. Each plan offers a different response capacity, enabling you to choose the option that best matches your anticipated participant needs and research requirements.
Create a Share link
In the “Share” tab, you’ll find the recruitment options available. To create a new Share Link audience, simply click the “Create share link” button.
After clicking the button, a target audience will be created with the status "Draft," and a modal with two steps will appear.
1. Details
First, you can give a name to the audience. Below that, you’ll find a new feature: "Limit number of responses". This allows you to set a specific number of responses you want to collect from the audience, and once that number is reached, the audience will automatically be marked as complete.
You can also select the target devices for the study—desktop, tablet, or mobile—and choose whether to enable or disable sharing options, such as repetitive testing and removing Useberry branding. On the left, additional settings are available, including options for recordings Video Shoots and Session Recordings, the Legal Screen, and Password Protection—features now tied to each audience.
On the right, you'll find the “Analysis” section, providing a brief summary of all the settings you've configured for the audience.
2. Screening Questions
Next, you'll find the Screening Questions (optional), which help filter participants. Simply add your question, define the possible answers, and decide whether each answer qualifies or disqualifies participants. Qualify means they meet your criteria and can proceed with the study, while Disqualify means they don't fit and won’t continue. This ensures you gather responses from the right audience, improving both the quality of your insights and saving time. Additionally, you can make questions required or allow multiple selections, depending on your needs.
Share Link audience launched
After launching your audience, you’ll be redirected to the “Link” tab. From here, you can copy the share link, add custom variables, share it on social media, or even embed it on a website. Once the audience is live, you can rename it, view the results, or pause it. When paused, you have the option to close it, edit the audience, and relaunch it if needed.
In the “Responses” tab, you can view all the collected responses for this audience. By clicking on each individual response, you can explore the detailed results. Learn more about Sessions here.
Lastly, in the "Audience info" tab, you can review all the settings that have been configured for the audience.
By allowing users to invite their own audience, Useberry fosters cost-effective research practices and encourages the use of existing networks. This approach enables researchers to collect data from individuals who are already invested in their work, while also maximizing the value of their subscription plan.
