If you're encountering an issue where your Figma prototype can't be imported because it's missing a starting node, you’ll need to define a Flow Starting Point in Figma. This ensures your prototype has a defined entry screen, which is required for proper import.
How to Set a Starting Node in Figma:
Follow these steps:
-
Select a Frame
Choose the frame you want to designate as the starting point of your prototype. -
Open the “Prototype” Tab
With the frame selected, navigate to the right-hand sidebar and click on the Prototype tab. -
Set as Flow Starting Point
Click “+” next to Flow starting point or right-click the frame and select Set as Starting Point. A circular play icon will appear on the frame, indicating it’s now the starting node.
