Account Structure Changes
Currently, a Useberry account consists of a single workspace that can contain multiple projects. With the upcoming update, each account will be associated with a Team, allowing for the creation of multiple workspaces within each account. This enhances organization and collaboration.
Old Useberry Architecture:
- Account → Workspace → Projects → Versions
New Useberry Architecture:
- Account → Team(s) → Workspaces → Projects → Versions
Key Features and Changes
Blocks
The SUS and Demographics blocks will remain accessible to all users, regardless of their team plan.
Multiple Task Block
The Multiple Tasks block will no longer be available for new studies. For users who have previously utilized this block, each task within it will be transformed into an individual Single Task block. For example, if you had a Multiple Tasks block with four tasks, it will be automatically converted into four separate Single Task blocks.
Screening Questions, Legal Screen, Password Protection
The features for Screening Questions, Legal Screen, and Password Protection will be relocated from blocks to the Sharing Link Options. These features will be accessible to all users with paid plans, regardless of the tier. However, these features will not be available for the Participant Pool functionality.
Limited Edit Access
On the Create tab, editing will be restricted for versions that have already collected responses or have an active target audience. If you need to make edits to these versions, you can either:
- Duplicate the version to create a new editable copy.
- Delete all sessions from the Results tab to modify the existing version.
Figma & Adobe XD Plugins
In the previous version of Useberry, there were two options to import prototypes from Figma and Adobe XD. Now, we have streamlined the process to a single method for importing prototypes via our web integration. Users can now easily import their Figma and Adobe XD prototypes without leaving the Useberry platform.
Figma users who have previously uploaded prototypes using the Useberry plugin with the share link option can synchronize those prototypes directly from the Useberry platform.
Collaborators
All collaborators invited to projects will be transformed into team members with the "Collaborator" role. They will retain access to the projects they were initially invited to as viewers or editors without occupying any seats on your team.
You can change a "Collaborator's" role to one of the new roles provided by Useberry, such as admin, manager, member, or viewer. However, once you change their role, you cannot revert it back to "Collaborator."
If you assign a "Collaborator" the role of admin, manager, or member and your team has available seats, they will automatically occupy a seat. If your team does not have available seats, you will be prompted to upgrade your current plan. If you change their role to "Viewer," they will not occupy a seat.
For example, if a user was invited as a collaborator in three projects across different workspaces, they will automatically join three teams and workspaces. They will only have access to the projects they were initially invited to unless their role is updated to allow broader access.
Predefined Languages
The 11 predefined languages will be discontinued, but you will still have the option to create custom languages according to your needs. Current users with pre-filled language options will see these converted into custom languages (e.g., Spanish will become custom Spanish). Any new fields for translations will default to English.
Projects' Pre-filled Images
Pre-filled images from prototypes, websites, or designs will no longer appear in thumbnails. You will now have the option to set a custom thumbnail for any project.
Experimental Session Recording for Figma Prototypes
The Session Recording feature for Figma prototypes has progressed from "experimental" to "Beta." It is now available for studies on both mobile and desktop devices.
For a seamless experience, all user interactions will be replayed directly on your prototype. It’s crucial to avoid making changes to your prototype during user testing to prevent data loss. It's best to keep your prototype on a separate Figma file.
Discontinuation of Prototyping Tool
The Useberry prototyping tool will be discontinued.
