Connect your calendar to smoothly schedule and manage interview sessions. Useberry securely connects with your calendar through Cronofy to sync availability and prevent scheduling conflicts.
What is Cronofy
Cronofy is a calendar connectivity platform that enables applications to securely connect with users' calendars across major providers, including Google Calendar, Microsoft 365, Outlook. Their API enables us to integrate calendar features into Useberry, allowing a streamlined and smooth scheduling user experience.
Our Cronofy integration requests access to your calendar's availability and permission to create calendar events on your behalf. This allows us to check for scheduling conflicts and add bookings directly to your calendar.
Security
Cronofy follows industry-leading security and compliance standards to protect customer and end-user data. The platform is certified under ISO 27001, ISO 27701, and ISO 27018, and regularly undergoes SOC 2 Type II audits. It supports compliance with major privacy regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA.

Connect a calendar
Depending on your organization's security policies, you may need administrator approval before you can connect your Microsoft calendar. Some Microsoft 365 organizations restrict third-party applications from accessing calendar data. If this is the case, your Microsoft 365 administrator must grant Cronofy the required permissions before you can complete the calendar connection. Your administrator can use the following admin consent links:
- Office 365 Exchange Web Services (EWS)
- Microsoft Teams
- Microsoft Graph Calendar
- Microsoft 365 Sign-In
- Microsoft Graph Free/Busy Calendar
Once these permissions have been granted by your administrator, you'll be able to connect your Microsoft calendar normally.
Connect your calendar via your Settings:
- Access your settings
- Open the “Calendars” menu item
- Select your calendar provider and follow the instructions to authorise
When creating you first interview project a modal will appear asking you to connect your calendar. If you have connected a calendar via your accounts settings prior to creating your first interview project, you will not be asked to connect one when creating your first interview project.
Connect your calendar when creating your first interview project:
- Enter a workspace
- Create a “New Project”
- Select “Moderated studies” → “Interviews”.
- Select your calendar provider and follow the instructions to authorise
Useberry uses the calendar you have connected to manage availability, keep meetings synced (cancel, reschedule), avoid scheduling conflicts and automatically add meetings to your calendar. If you have added co-hosts and they have connected their calendar, their availability is considered when offering time slots to participants. While if they do not have a calendar connected only the hosts availability will be taken under consideration.
Disconnect a calendar
You can disconnect your calendar via your Settings:
- Access your settings
- Open the “Calendars” menu item
- Select “Disconnect” on the calendar provider you have connected
Notes:
- If you’re the study host, you can disconnect your calendar as long as you do not have live audiences.
- If a co-host disconnects their calendar while an audience has a “live” status, that co-host’s calendar availability will no longer be considered when determining available times.
