Preference Test block: Capturing user choice and priorities

Preference testing involves presenting testers with multiple variations or options and asking them to select their favorite. This method uncovers valuable insights into user likes, dislikes, and priorities.

Block Setup and Features

• Customize the block title to fit your study.
• Use Image or Text options for each preference choice.
• Format instructions with Bold, Italic, Underline; insert YouTube, Vimeo, etc. media, bulleted or numbered lists.
• Add up to 9 images or texts per block.
• Choices are randomly ordered during the study to avoid bias.

Settings and Logic Jumps

• Add Logic Jumps to redirect testers based on their choices or behavior:
  • Tester visited current block
  • Time spent on block (greater than, equal to, less than a threshold)
  • Selected option (is / is not from available choices)

Results and Analysis

• Track how many testers completed, dropped off, or skipped the block, and see average completion times.
• View a detailed breakdown of selections and responses for each option presented.

User Session & Study Insights

• Access completion date and time per tester.
• See user details including country, operating system, browser, and device type.
• Review block-specific data such as completion rate and time spent on block.
• Optionally access the "Theater" for session recordings or video shoots if enabled.

Updated User Session Modal (February 2025):

• Left Panel: Tester stats (date, device, country), video playback, session metadata (session name, tester GUID, custom attributes, Prolific ID). Easily navigate between sessions.
• Right Panel: Tester responses, block data, stats, plus screening answers if available.
