How to create a Tag from the Tags tab
Follow these steps to create a new tag in the platform:
- Open the Tags tab
Inside a project (Unmoderated or Recordings) locate the tab “Tags” - Click the “+ New Tag” button
In the top-right corner of the Tags page, click the + New Tag button. - Enter a tag name
In the field inside the Create Tag dialog, type the name you want for your new tag. - Choose a color for the tag
Select one of the predefined colors or use a custom one. - Save the tag
- Click the Save button at the bottom of the dialog.
- The modal closes and the new tag appears in the Tags list.
How to create a custom Tag from a recording highlight
This guide shows you how to create a new tag directly from a highlight within your recording view on the platform.
Steps
- Create a highlight
Create a highlight from the transcription or from the video player - Highlight menu
The highlight menu will appear, click on the Tags field. - Create a new tag
In the tag search/selection field, type the name of the new tag you wish to create (e.g. "Usability Issue"). Since the tag doesn't exist, click on the Create “tag name” button to open the Create Tag dialog. - Confirm tag details
- Review the Preview Tag (e.g., "Usability Issue").
- Select a color for the new tag from the available palette or choose a custom color.
- Save the new tag
Click the "Save" button at the bottom of the Create Tag dialog. - Apply and save changes
The newly created tag will now be automatically applied to the current highlight. Click "Back" after selecting the tag and click "Save highlight" below to save the highlight with the new tag.
