How to manage Highlight Reels

This guide covers creating a new Highlight Reel and adding existing highlights to it.

Creating a new Highlight Reel

1. Navigate to the “Highlight Reels” tab From the main project (Unmoderated or Recordings), click on the "Highlight Reels" tab.
2. Create new Highlight Reel Click the button to create a new highlight reel.
3. Give a name and/or a description In the dialog box, enter a name for your new reel (e.g., "User Interviews: Key Quotes"). Optionally you can add a description too.
4. Save the Highlight Reel Click the "Create" button to save the new empty reel.

Adding a Highlight to a Reel

From the highlight reel:

1. Go to a Highlight Reel Select the playlist you want to add highlights
2. Click the “Add Highlights” button Clicking this button a dialog modal will appear with a list of all the highlights that this project has. You will see only the highlights that you haven’t added on this playlist.
3. Select highlights Choose the highlights that you want to add on this playlist and click the add button.
4. Highlight Reel view Now you can play the highlight reel and reorder the view of the highlights.

Additionally you can add a highlight to a highlight reel from the highlight menu on the recording.

Editing a Highlight Reel

1. Access the Reel From the Highlight Reels tab, click on reel you want to edit.
2. Open the Edit Menu Click the Options icon next to the reel title.
3. Edit Details In the dialog that appears, you can change the Title and the Description of the reel.
4. Save Changes Click the "Save" button.

Editing a Highlight's text/duration from Reel playback (via Transcript)

1. Start Reel Playback: Click the "Play reel" button to start watching.
2. Pause and Open Edit: When the desired highlight begins, pause the video. Click on the corresponding highlighted text in the transcript panel.
3. Adjust Text Selection: Click and drag your cursor to select a new, preferred start or end point in the transcript. The clip's duration will update automatically.
4. Save Changes: Click the "Save highlight" button to apply the new duration to the clip across the entire platform (including in the reel).

Removing a Highlight from a Reel

1. Access the Reel From the Highlight Reels tab, click on the title of the reel.
2. Locate Highlight Scroll down to the list of highlights currently in the reel.
3. Remove the Highlight Click the "Remove" icon over to the highlight you want to remove from the reel.
